Learn skills to turn things we recycle into beautiful treasures. We'll
Recycle magazines, plastic bags and cereal boxes into beautiful works of art for gift giving and
keepsakes. All of these items and more can be remade into books, journals, woven art pieces and handy
bags for future use! We'll learn to turn the task of recycling into an art form that helps the planet and bring awareness to the amount of waste in the world.
We will be taking items that can be recycled and making them into art. Students will learn skills like weaving, crocheting, decoupage, sewing and more.
Activities for this class will include:
1. How to turn plastic bags into crocheted, or woven items for summer
2. Turn everyday mail, recycled papers, into scratchpads and books to be reused
