Join us for an exciting hands-on experience of history!

We begin with a review of the Holy Roman Empire and the colonization of the New World. We learn about Spain’s greed and wealth in South America by building a mine shaft as a class. Then we will learn about the Northwest Passage and Inuit culture while we build an igloo and explore the culture inside the igloo, how it keeps people warm against extreme elements and how they are constructed. When King James and England begin their search for gold in the New World we play The London Company Stock game. We also have a Japanese tea ceremony and learn about the fire of London.   Each day we will be learning a new part of history as we complete mapwork and delve more deeply into the culture and artifacts of each story.
