Learn the the fundamental skills you need to start working with
leather by making a simple, useful wallet! In this class you’ll be
introduced to a wide range of leatherworking techniques, tools and
materials and then shown how to apply them to a design. Using
organic veg tanned leather, we'll start from the basics and use our
skills to create something you can use everyday.
Our lessons will cover skills like cutting leather, punching holes,
gouging, folding, riveting, and snaps. We’ll also learn about the
different types of leather, and how to shop for what you need. By the
end of this class you’ll have all the skills and tools you need to start
creating your own beautiful leatherwork.
Learners will practice everyday math skills such as:
● Perimeter and area
● Surface area
Because everyone works at their own pace, the weekly shedule is flexible.
If learners finish early, there will alsways be extra projects they can work
