Teacher Donna Connolly
Mat Fees: $20

How do we know what we know? Have you ever wondered about that? Do you think about concepts like promise keeping, wisdom, courage, right and wrong? Do you walk around looking at the world and think, "What is this all about? Is there more to life than meets the eye?"
If you answered "Yes", then this class is perfect for you. In this intro to Western Philosophy, we will join several thinkers who--over thousands of years--have pondered these notions and more.
Great thinkers from Socrates to Descartes, Aristotle to Locke, Heraclitus to Hume have provided the world with some of the most profound views on a variety of topics.
And it's all in one class.
Philosophy is one of my favorite subjects because everyone is a philosopher. Often times, the subject is taught in a way that makes it dry and cerebral. Not this class. In this course, we will do more talking than reading and more questioning than understanding.
I hope you join us for 10 weeks of, conversation, introspection and a lot of fun.
