What to eat and how much is a choice that we make multiple times, every day. Learning how to eat healthy is so important. In this class your child will learn basic nutrition principles, and will also discover that eating healthy is delicious and fun! Each camp will focus on a different food to be explored and kids will learn how their bodies are affected by that food. A healthy snack will then be prepared and consumed by class members. Kids will not only learn and enjoy healthy eating, but will also learn some basic math skills and spelling, as well as how to read food labels. The importance of exercise and practicing exercises are also included in each session. Only real foods are used and consumed in this class – no artificial sweeteners, synthetic proteins, or additives are consumed.
Students should dress comfortably for basic exercise and wear clothing that may be stained during food preparation.
