In this class we will explore the various ways humans impact the environment. Students will learn how the following affects the planet:
Students will be assigned a project to complete over the course of the session which will be worked on in class as well as at home. As a class we will research endangered species and then students will be able to decide their favorite animal for their project. Then they will investigate factors that are threatening the species, as well as what can be done to help save them.
After learning about the many ways us humans negatively affect the world to contribute to climate change, we will come up with ways to HELP save the planet! We will watch documentaries, videos, read articles and books to learn about the problems and solutions. Every little change we make can make a massive impact! This class, while addressing difficult subjects, is designed to help students have hope and understand how they can be part of a solution!
