Teacher: Heidi Marino
Mat Fees: $20
Class Fees: $256 or $64/month for 4 months
Come take part in a math class where students can participate in games and activities while learning important math concepts. This class offers engaging lessons and activities to stimulate the students knowledge of math. Some of the 3rd and 4th grade concepts we will go over are multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, graphs, perimeter/area and more. Students will play games like “Buzz” to practice learning multiples of certain numbers and “Around the World” to practice multiplication facts. Division facts are easy to learn while playing “Don’t Duck” and students will practice learning about divisibility while playing “In-divisible”. They will become decimal detectives to learn about decimal place value. While conducting surveys they will gather information to make graphs and then use that information to calculate what fraction of the people surveyed liked or didn’t like certain things.
Note: Concepts covered in this class correlate to 3rd and 4th grade skills.
