Bio for Madison Hogan:

I am a 15-year-old high school sophomore who’s been attending HuckleBerry for about four years. My experience includes being a camp leader for vacation bible school the past five years and teaching a Huck beauty class for young girls this past winter. I am now currently a teacher’s aide for a math class consisting of six to eight-year-olds.  I also have three little brothers which have provided me with lots of experience in mentoring and caring for very young children. All of this exposure and opportunities have led me to discover that my passion is teaching and spending time with kids! I have also volunteered and helped at Real Life church for the child care center every Sunday and I loved it! They were so surprised at how capable I was that over time they let me lead the whole pre-school division which included up to 25 kids. I also babysit my three brothers quite often as well as babysitting and caring for other families. I have attended completed a CPR class at Henry Mayo Hospital. I am excited and looking forward to teaching a Preschool class at Huck! Kids are my true passion!

Bio for Skylar:

I am a senior in high school and have attended Huckleberry for about four years. I am currently attending College of the Canyons with English and Art classes. I am the oldest of my siblings, at 18. I have a sister and three younger brothers. I have been babysitting my brothers since I was 12 years old, and have had the opportunity to babysit other kids as well over the years. I have also attended and completed a CPR class at Henry Mayo Hospital. My teaching experience includes teaching a history class for six to eight-year-olds. I have also subbed for the art teacher at Huck several times. I have had the opportunity to be a camp leader at VBS for the past seven years and enjoyed my time with kids. One of my goals for the future is to write and illustrate children's books, getting to know kids and what interests them will help me achieve that goal. I enjoy spending time with younger kids, especially creating crafts with them and observing how invested they are in what they are doing. It's a fun process to be a part of!
