Journalism
Creating The HuckleBerry Gazette!
Ages 9-12
Homework: I aim to have most of our work done in class but there will be the possibility of continuing that work at home.
Extra! Extra! Read all About It!
Welcome to journalism! In this class we will be exploring the elements of a school newspaper. Students will work independently as well as collaboratively while exercising their creativity and sharpening their critical thinking skills. They will uncover a deeper understanding of the mechanics of writing through fun and engaging projects. This class aims to guide students in recognizing their work as meaningful and relevant to the world at large. As we move through the weeks all of our activities will be geared towards creating the school newspaper. Our final project will be the gazette. I look forward to meeting and working with your child in the creation of the HuckleBerry Gazette!
