Art Projects for Little Ones!

Cost: $240 or $230/trimester if taking 2 or more classes. Can be split into 3 equal payments

We will be also inspired by the unique technique of Van Gogh and his sunflower painting. After learning about this great artist, students will create their own sunflower art work with oil pastels.
Students will use forks and cut vegetables as tools to stamp paint in to the paper. These will help students make shapes that will create a spring garden of flowers and plants.
Students will choose their favorite bugs and plants and create at micro world art work. Students will learn how to use simple shapes to easily draw nature with color pencils. To continue to see nature up close, students will make a bird-feeder, attracting all hungry birds. Join us in this colorful art adventure!
This trimester we will go on an adventure through music and art that is inspired by music!
Students will create different musical instruments while learning about their origin and the role that they play in different cultures. They will create instruments like drums from Ancient Asia, Rain Stick and Maracas from South America and a Mbira (thumb piano) from Africa.
Students will learn about Kandinsky’s art and the unique vision that he had of music. We will associate notes with colors by listening to different instruments. Inspired by Kandinsky’s art, students will create a musical Art work!
In this journey, students will learn about musical styles and genres, and the story behind them.
